That’s a wrap on the weekly gossip rags as the fashionable Ashampoo ladies wage war against the unruly locks of the Greasy servicing injectors. And, oh, aints a few wacky names to add to the mix for good measure. The fact is that few of the so-called fashionable find this season’s styles too difficult. They seem to have every style in the shop.

In fact, describe most of the set-pieces from the spring/summer catwalks of2009 as comfortable, conservative or fun, and you pretty much get the idea. Of course, before you can entirely get the point, you have to see celebrities in the flesh to appreciate just how tricky it is to choose a hairstyle that suits a face. The truth is that the whole game of dressing up can be incredibly complicated. Trying to encompass too many variables defeats the original point of stocking up on good quality clothes, make-up, accessories and then taking a stylist about face shapes. There’s a big outside, bigger inside game to getting the right stuff to satisfy the right kind of person.

Women of a certain age who are suffering from the gradual loss of tissue tissue tissue no longer find it necessary to wear very tight braids, ponytails or even wigs to hide their failing skin. Why? Well, they can cover them with hair. Nice, huh? And not only can they do this but they should be able to find a style that suits their face as well. The classic bob is back but it should not be worn too tight around the face. In fact, a nice loose bob is a lovely, creative look for anyone, but especially for a woman trying to defy age. The great thing about a loose bob is that it can be modernized as one gets older. So, more open to a younger woman, but not too young.

The classic bob defined.

The classic bob can be worn with or without bangs. If you don’t have bangs, the classic look still holds great. It is a great choice. It can be dressed up with multi-strand twists and flatters all facial shapes. The look is so versatile, it can be very casual with ensemble basics.

The classic bob favorite is the Cleopatra.

The ’50s-style cut has really been reinvented and is found in a more angular look. The hair is cut and styled with a blunt fringe and ends for a more severe look. In addition, the sides can be cut into a rounded shape for more intensity. This look is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s favorite.

The ‘do is shorter in front and longer in the back and it is more structured than the others. The great thing about choosing this ‘do is that one can wash it, curl it or even use a flat iron to create a sassy flip or slight curl. It can be more casual, sporty or formal.

The Get Buffed look

This is a preppy look that’s been seen a lot lately and is attached to a very adorable lampoon character. The main idea is to have a very cute style that is attached to an otherwise normal hairstyle.

The ‘do starts with a side parting to make it look like there is no hair there (nothing is worse than this) and then the back is cut in layers to make it look fancy and sleek. The style can be implemented with pomade or gel. To add life and volume, use an oil based product. To keep from getting a flat looking style, make sure you have naturally curly or wavy hair.

The celebrity updo

It’s another ‘I’m-so-gorgeous-I’m-growing-in-my-heart’ type of look. This is worn more dramatically on younger women because they have less time to style their hair then their older sisters. However, it can be worn at any age without it looking like you just woke up. The fantastic thing about this look is that it can be achieved by having the right products to style it.
